[DRADITION News] A press conference was held for DRADITION to announce that they will be holding a show on May 29, as well two of the matches that will be held on the show.
Fujinami, Tiger Mask, Funaki and AKIRA were on hand for the press conference. Fujinami started off by saying that this is the first step for himself to make a new impact, something exciting, and that is why he chose Funaki as one of his opponents. Fujinami is familiar with Funaki from watching over him in practice in the mid-1980’s and up until Funaki left to MMA. Funaki has sense made himself a name in Japan from his time in MMA and now being the reigning All Japan Triple Crown Champion.
Because of their connection when Funaki was starting out, Funaki feels that this match has a pretty special feeling already for himself, and hopefully for the fans as well.
There was also mention that Tatsumi Fujinami’s eldest son, Leona Fujinami [19], could “potentially” be making his debut on the show.
Below you can see all that has been announced at this time.

[All Japan News] All Japan Pro-Wrestling will be undergoing a change going forward from today as it has been announced that they will be undergoing a change of ownership. Nobuo Shiraishi [40] of Speed Partners has acquired 100% of the All Japan’s shares and will be owner and President of All Japan as of a corporate restructuring that will take place as of November 1, 2013.
Shiraishi also announced that Akira Misaka [42] (pictured bottom right) has been appointed as Vice-President under him.
Not much has been stated in state of the sale of the promotion, but
Shiraishi stated that the goal is for All Japan to reclaim a themselves as a premiere promotion in Japan. The new own wishes to see All Japan be able to host their own show at the Tokyo Dome within 3 years.
Shiraishi declared a revolution and looks forward to the growth and strengthening of All Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Update (2/26 8pm)
Something else I left out is there was also mention that All Japan could be cracking down on outsider involvement within the promotion.
フリー選手の契約は3月で見直し、
There will be a review of the contracted free(lance) wrestlers in March,
4月から“鎖国”に入るという。
…as of April as an “isolation or seclusion” with take into effect.
So this all points towards the fact that there will be limited connections with outside talent. Of course there was just a brief sentence released in regards to this, so not telling if a minor detail has been left out.
Though I am not sure what that means for Koji Kanemoto (no longer affiliated with New Japan), Tomoaki Honma (freelance), Kazushi Miyamoto [Tenryu Project], Yutaka Yoshie (as he wants to compete in the CC in April), MAZADA (Tokyo Gurentai), and BURNING as a whole.
I assume that this means that there will be contracts offered to talent in which I believe Kanemoto, BURNING, and a few others may sign.
[ZERO1 News] ZERO1 announced the full cards for their upcoming shows in March. The announcement they made today was the inclusion of a big junior heavyweight tag match showdown for the show on March 6. Ikuto Hidaka will be teaming with NOAH’s Naomichi Marufuji to take on the team of Tatsuhito Takaiwa and Michinoku Pro’s, and current Tohoku Jr. Heavy Champion, Fujita “Jr” Hayato.
This match is a big way to set of the 12th Anniversary and a way to also mark the 15th Anniversary of Marufuji, who celebrates his achievement later on this year. Marufuji was a part of the very first match in ZERO1 back on March 2, 2001 as he faced off against Naohiro Hoshikawa.
Takaiwa was under Shinya Hashimoto when ZERO1 (ZERO-ONE) was founded and has quite the history competing with them throughout the years.
Fujita “Jr” Hayato is noted as one of the best junior wrestlers in Japan today and will be putting his Tohoku Jr. belt on the line against Ikuto Hidaka on March 17.
The inclusion of this junior bout is an interesting one and there is already quite a bit of interest being put between the potential confrontation between Hayato and Marufuji.
Below are the upcoming cards for the 12th Anniversary shows.

[NOAH News] Pro Wrestling NOAH announced the full match card for the upcoming big show at Yokohama on March 10.
Following the announcements from the past couple weeks of all the GHC titles being on the line, NOAH announced a few matches to fill out the first half of the show.
The rookies will open the show with DR’s Mitsuhiro Kitamiya taking on NOAH’s Hitoshi Kumano. The VooDoo MURDERS will be making their way from DR to NOAH as the latest memebers in DR’s Kento Miyahara and K-DOJO’s Taishi Takizawa have been announced to be on the show as they take on the The Bravado Brothers.
DR’s Kensuke Sasaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima will be taking on the team of Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue. Nakajima and Saito have built a bit of a rivalry in the last few years and I wouldn’t put it past of them two getting into a kicking war before all is said and done.
The now 3 man team of The Mighty Don’t Kneel will be coming together to take on BRAVE’s Takeshi Morishima, Mohammed Yone & Yoshinari Ogawa. The TMDK trio will surely be looking to make a statement on the big show.
NOAH also announced matches for some of their other events scheduled throughout the month of March.

[All Japan News] AJP held a press conference to announce two new title matches that have been added to the Ryogoku show on March 17, as well as the additions this will make to the upcoming show March 10.
Burning made their first real statement since returning to All Japan when Yoshinobu Kanemaru defeated Shuji Kondo to become the new World Junior Heavyweight Champion. Kaz Hayashi took no time in challenging the new champion and today All Japan announced that the title match will be official for the 3.17 show. The President of All Japan, Masayuki Uchida, has placed his faith in Kaz Hayashi to stop the momentum of the invading Burning team. Masayuki Uchida noted the 3-2 win from Burning on February 23rd and is very disappointed by it, but All Japan will have to move forward.
Kanemaru stated that his goal is to claim his first true defense against Hayashi who holds the record for the most defenses of the belt at 17. Kanemaru aims for nothing but a total victory with his return to All Japan.
Kaz Hayashi picked up the win over Kotaro Suzuki on February 23rd and has placed himself in the position to be All Japan’s top junior. Hayashi’s complete focus is now set on Kanemaru and he aims to reclaim the belt.
Hayashi and Kanemaru will meet in a 6 Man Tag Double title prelude match on 3.10 as Takao Omori, Manabu Soya & Kaz Hayashi take on Jun Akiyama, Go Shiozaki & Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
The Asia Tag belts were also announced to be on the line as “Junior Stars” will be defending against Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Aoki from Burning. All four wrestlers were on hand for the press conference.
Kanemoto mentioned that he is officially a freelance competitor, after not signing a contract with NJPW in January. He though does not want to be seen as an invader to All Japan, much like Burning, as he says his love and spirit currently resides with Junior Stars and All Japan Pro-Wrestling. Kanemoto has competed for All Japan for over the last year and has more or less become a regular with them.
Minoru Tanaka noted that this is a time for frustration, but also a time for himself and Kanemoto to feel refreshed with reclaiming the Asia Tag belts.
Kotaro Suzuki suffered the first loss from the Burning side on the 2.23 show, and he hopes to not make that same mistake twice, let alone at Korakuen Hall this soon.
Atsushi Aoki mentioned that he wants to be the #1 Junior in Japan with the first step being the Asia Tag belts. Aoki plans to go with all his power and abilities to build towards his future goals.
With the 2 new title matches announced for the March 17 show, the first Korakuen Hall show on March 10 has also been updated to build towards it all.
The four men involved in the Asia Tag match will face off in singles action on 3.10 as Minoru Tanaka goes up against Kotaro Suzuki and Koji Kanemoto takes on Atsushi Aoki.
It is all about momentum heading into the Ryogoku show and there is definitely no sign of anything less than heat as we head into March.

All Japan Event Cards for March & April 2013

[NJPW / Naito Update] Daily Sports interviewed Tetsuya Naito, who is still in recovery following a due to rupture to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee last October. The initial injury came during the 2012 G1 CLIMAX in August and only got worse as Naito still tried o compete for the following months.
Naito apparently has his eyes set against Okada. As many of you should know, Okada initially debuted against Naito in August of 2007, with Naito himself just debuting a year prior. In the natural pecking order of things, Naito would initially receive the “push”. Naito reminisced of those years of living Okada in the dorms and the two training together for years. Naito seems to point that there is an inevitable career rivalry between the two as they will be the two to lead the next generation. Naito, who is 30, and Okada, who is 25, may just be the future of NJPW in the next 5-10 years.
Naito’s original “dream” was to become the IWGP Heavyweight Champion before he reached 30 years old. Of course that dream was cut short last year and during this forced time away he has gained a new desire to claim the “treasure of New Japan”. Okada of course claimed that dream Naito’s own dream by becoming the IWGP Heavy Champion at just 24 years old.
Naito has currently been out of action for 4 months now and has been spending every day in rehabilitation to return this Summer (June to August). Naito says that the pain is still there, but his desires are too great for him to sit back and just watch things happen.
Naito closed out the interview by asking the fans to come out and watch the upcoming New Japan Cup tournament, which begins on March 11, and see who becomes the current #1 wrestler in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
