飛鳥プロジェクト ASUKA PROJECT
HISTORY
A promotion formed from by Shinose Mitoshichi as an independent promotion from Wrestling New Classic (WNC) on January 30, 2014. Mitoshichi is the head wrestler under the promotion and does most of the behind-the-scenes work.
Asuka is a shortened name of Asukayama area of Kita, Tokyo, Japan.
The very first show, vol. 1, was held on March 23, 2014 at the BASEMENT☆MONSTER in Oji, Kita-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
In June of 2014 the promotion announced that they would be open for rookies and trainees to tryout for the promotion.
On July 30, 2014 they would hold their first show at the Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan. Shota Nakagawa would join the promotion as a wrestler after being a referee in WNC. Takahiro Nakayama and SAYAMA would join the promotion as trainees.
August 31, 2014 would be the the announcement that a championship belt would be brought into the promotion.
Masaya Takahashi joined the promotion on September 3, 2014.
September 8, 2014 would see Mitoshichi open up their own restaurant “Hashi Hashi Nishisugamoten” in Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. Shinose and Masaya would help run the promotion with the trainee’s helping out as well.
The main female wrestler of the promotion Kaho Kobayashi announced that she would be signing a double affiliation agreement with ASUKA and Pro Wrestling WAVE.
Shinose Mitoshichi would be crowned the first ever champion on October 26, 2014.
Their first ever show was held at the Korakuen Hall on November 27, 2014. Atsushi Onita would compete in the main event. Kenta Sugawara and Takahiro Nakayama made their debuts for the promotion, but Nakayama would announce that he would not be continuing forward with his career as a wrestler due to health reasons.
