◆AJPW NEWS◆ [7/14 RESULTS]
~ All Japan kicked off the “Summer Action Series” at the Korakuen Hall.
~ The main event saw the return of Suwama in a 6 man tag match, as he teamed with fellow Evolution teammates Atsushi Aoki and Noaya Nomura to take on Zeus, Shuji Ishikawa, and Super Tiger. It was though a rocky return for Suwama. Even though he showed some new moves in the match, Shuji Ishikawa has been on quite the streak as of late as he claimed the win over the returning ace. Suwama was a bit out of it following the loss, but came to as he stated that he aims to re-claim his position as the top guy in the promotion. Eyeing the climb back up to challenge for the TC belt which he had to forfeit due to the injury earlier this year.
~ The semi-final match saw a Triple Crown prelude tag match as Kento Miyahara and Jake Lee took on Jun Akiyama and DDT’s Konosuke Takeshita. Not only a prelude, but also a match pitting the TC champion against DDT’s KO-D Openweight Champion in Takeshita. Akiyama claimed the win over Miyahara once more in prelude as he pulled out his big match finish with the Sterness Dust to put away the champion. The title match will be taking place on July 23.
~ Hikaru Sato defended the World Junior Heavyweight belt against freelance veteran Tatsuhito Takaiwa. Hikaru looked strong in finally winning the belt, but suffered a quick loss, ina tag match, to the veteran setting up the match. Hikaru though has gotten his revenge as he aims to hold the belt for quite sometime. DDT’s Soma Takao came out to make the challenge after the match, and following a win earlier in the night in a junior 6 man tag match. Hikaru accepted the challenge from his former DDT understudy.
~ Then lastly Yohei Nakajima suffered yet another setback as he lost the GAORA TV belt to Takeshi Minamino. Yohei was distraught with the “cheap” loss as the GAORA first defense curse strikes him down as well.

~ Jack has competed for FREEDOMS before and Kasai has acknowledged that he enjoys what the foreigner brings to the deathmatch side of the sport. We’ll see how well he can carry this reign as champion. Especially if he is given more spots to come and compete in Japan or the freedom to defend the belt in his home of Mexico.
~ Also Takeda with the win over Fukimoto in the semi-final match of the night and Takashi Sasaki with the win over Miedo Xtremo, who came to compete in Japan along with Jack.
~ The event card for a special “Summer Festival 2016” show was announced to be held on August 6 at the Differ Ariake in Tokyo.

() Andy Dalton vs. Taiji Ishimori
() Muhammad Yone vs. Eclipse
() Masa Kitamiya & Kaito Kiyomiya vs. Hitoshi Kumano & Shiro Tomoyose
() Kenoh & Yoshinari Ogawa vs. Hajime Ohara & Genba Hirayanagi
() Go Shiozaki & Daisuke Harada vs. Maybach Taniguchi & Atsushi Kotoge
~ Tomorrow sees the start of the “10th annual NTV G+ Cup Contention Junior Heavyweight Tag League” as a press conference was held today.
~ Shiozaki has declared that this title reign is for his home area of Kumamoto and he aims to be defend the belt there. Sugi remained silent as Shiozaki carried on about his focus of support though it ultimately ended up as a physical altercation during the close of their press conference. As Sugiura assaulted the champion. Sugiura has attacked Shiozaki with a chair, his current weapon of choice since aligning with SZKG, as he looked to further add insult to injury to the reigning champion. Sugi’s focus was on the strong arm of Shiozaki which the champion uses quite often in his matches from his chops to his sometimes match ending lariat’s. Sugi tried to deliver another blow with the chair to take out Shiozaki’s arm for good, but his effort was thwarted by Hajime Ohara who was still standing nearby. Shiozaki declared that he will retain and beat Sugi once more come the title match on July 30.
~ Then as for tomorrow’s GHC title match, the GHC Tag Champions Marufuji and Yano and the challengers Nakajima and Kitamiya took part in a press conference. The challengers, The Aggression, are eager to become champions as Kitamiya looks to make the first major break of his career by being a champion. His partner Nakajima has been a champion several times in the past, but has not seen too much success as of yet since jumping up to the heavy class ranks. The challengers aim to set forth on a new wave in NOAH and can only do so if they manage to defeat the champions. Though the reigning champions are far from ready to end their run as champs as they look to keep SZKG from getting their hands on titles once more.
~ Then the final part of the press conference focused on the junior tag league itself. As most of the wrestlers involved came out to prepare for the final stretch before the show. The reigning GHC Jr. Tag Champions and 2015 league winners Daisuke Harada & Atsushi Kotoge look to win once more this year, while the other 5 remaining teams look for a shot at the belts and even claiming a potential win over the champions. Among any other developments, ACH came out as he and Ishimori look to be forming a common bond over the “450゜Splash”. ACH looks to leave a mark for himself in Japan and is coming to leave it all on the line in every match. Kanemaru and Desperado seemingly took offense to ACH, an invader in their eyes, just coming in and acting like he even stands as chance. ACH and Desperado specifically went face to face before the SZKG team walked out. The two teams are set to face one another on the July 24 show.
