The International Wrestling Grand Prix (IWGP) Heavyweight Championship is the top professional wrestling title in New Japan Pro Wrestling. The first champion was crowned in 1987 with NJPW founder Antonio Inoki defeating Masa Saito in the finals of the IWGP Tournament.

IWGP TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The IWGP Tag Team Championship is the Heavyweight tag team championship created for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) promotion. “IWGP” is the acronym of the NJPW’s governing body, the International Wrestling Grand Prix. Kengo Kimura and Tatsumi Fujinami were the first to hold the belts when they won them on December 12, 1985.
