[WRESTLE-1 News] W-1 announced the next title defenses for their belts following the 6/18 show at the Korakuen Hall.
Up first, Minoru Tanaka will be defending the W-1 Cruiserweight belt against Seiki Yoshioka on July 4 at the Shinjuku FACE. Seiki earned the match by taking a tag match victory over the champion and then challenging the for the belt. Minoru was left with no choice but to give the up and coming talent the match for Minoru’s sake of avenging the loss as the defending champion. This will mark his potential 4th defense for the belt.

Then the W-1 Tag belts and Singles belt will both be on defense on July 12 as Hayashi & Kondo defend against the team of Soya and FREEDOMS’ Jun Kasai, then Hideki Suzuki will be putting the W-1 Championship on the line against the former champion in a rematch.
Jun Kasai has joined Manabu Soya and AKIRA’s “new WILD order” faction as its latest member and has also positioned himself as Soya’s partner in the upcoming title match. It is definitely a “wild” pairing to say the least, but could make for an interest dynamic between both of their respective styles clashing together. This will mark the champions potential 8th defense of the belts.
KAI made his presence known once more in the title picture after he challenged the champion following the defense against Shuji Kondo. Hideki continues to show his dominance as a champion while KAI made a vow to recapture the belt as he buzzed all the hair off of his head. KAI aims to show that there are no distractions between him and bringing the belt back home to W-1.
