[4/3] NJPW – Kota Ibushi defended the IWGP Junior belt against Nick Jackson.
[4/3] ZERO1 – Daichi Hashimoto announced that he would be out of action for 2 months following a fracture to his right jaw.
[4/5] IGF – Inoki held his first ever “INOKI GENOME FIGHT” show at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Satoshi Ishii would get the win in the main event.
[4/6] NJPW – Shinsuke Nakamura reclaimed the IWGP IC belt against Hiroshi Tanahashi at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Hirooki Goto & Katsyori Shibata lost in their tag title challenge against Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows. Tomohiro Ishii defeated Tetsuya Naito to retain the NEVER Openweight belt, in a match of the year candidate. AJ Styles made his return to NJPW and challenged Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavy belt. Ryusuke Taguchi claimed his first ever singles victory over Prince Devitt. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima became the new NWA World Tag Champions after defeating Rob Conway & Jax Dane. In the process making Kojima a NWA double crown champion. Kazushi Sakuraba and Minoru faced off for the first time ever in a 6 man tag match. The Young Bucks made their 3rd defense of the IWGP Jr. Tag belts over Kota Ibushi & El Desperado.
[4/7] NJPW – Prince Devitt announced his resignation from NJPW.
[4/7] Tokyo Gurentai – Main Event saw the Tokyo Tag belts on the line as MAZADA & HUB successfully defend them against Masaaki Mochizuki & Hikaru Sato. NOSAWA Rongai teamed with CIMA to take on the veteran combination of Tatsumi Fujinami & AKIRA. FUJITA made his 4th defense of the Tokyo World Heavyweight belt against Tatsuhito Takaiwa.
[4/8] ZERO1 – Daichi Hashimoto announced that he is now freelance from ZERO1.
[4/9] NOAH – Former DIAMOND RING rookie Mitsuhiro Kitamiya officially joined Pro-Wrestling NOAH with DIAMOND RING going on hiatus.
[4/9] ZERO1 – Hideki Suzuki made his debut in ZERO1. Daichi made a public statement that he is serious in not re-signing with ZERO1.
[4/11] DIAMOND RING – Kensuke Sasaki held a ceremony for his retirement from pro-wrestling. Antonio Inoki came out to see his that his former student got a proper send-off.
[4/12] NJPW – “WRESTLING WORLD 2014 in Taiwan” was held. Kojima defended the NWA Heavyweight belt against Rob Conway. Tomohiro Ishii defended the NEVER belt against KUSHIDA.
[4/12] AJPW – A pre-show for the upcoming Champion Carnival was held at the Yokohama Radiant Hall. Kendo Kashin made his return to an All Japan ring for the first time in 10 years. Akebono returned from illness in time for the Carnival.
[4/12] NOAH – The opening day of the “Global Tag League 2014“ was held at the Korakuen Hall. The main event saw Sugiura & Tanaka over KENTA & Takayama. Yoshinari Ogawa & Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Taiji Ishimori & Atsushi Kotoge to become the 21st GHC Jr. Tag Champions. Kitamiya had his first match in NOAH since joining the promotion full-time.
[4/13] NJPW – The second day of the “WRESTLING WORLD 2014 in Taiwan” was held. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima defeated Rob Conway & Jax Dane to retain the NWA World Tag belts. Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows successfully defended the IWGP Tag belts against Hirooki Goto & Captain New Japan.
[4/13] AJPW – The opening day of the “2014 Champion Carnival” was held at the Shibuya Bellesalle Garden. The main event would see Suwama going over Takao Omori, Go Shiozaki getting the win over KENSO, and Jun Akiyama going over Zeus.
[4/13] NOAH – The GTL continued at the Yamanashi Citizen Gymnasium. A “Jumbo Tsuruta Memorial Tournament” also took place at the show as Yoshinari Ogawa & Zack Sabre Jr. defeated the team of Tatsumi Fujinami & Masao Inoue.
[4/13] BJW – Daisuke Sekimoto made a quick return at the show at the Aomori Hamanasu Hall.
[4/13] K-DOJO – Held their 12th anniversary show at the Korakuen Hall. Saburo Inematsu defeated Kengo Mashimo to become the 16th generation CHAMPION OF STRONGEST-K. Yuji Hino & HIROKI defended the STRONGEST-K TAG belts against WRESTLE-1’s Kaz Hayashi & Shuji Kondo. Makoto Oishi defended the UWA Middleweight belt against Shiori Asahi in the opening match of the show.
[4/16] RJPW – Takatoriki made his pro-wrestling debut. He teamed with Minoru Suzuki to take on Atsushi Onita & Ichiro Yaguchi. Takatoriki got the win over Yaguchi. Super Tiger also made his 4th defense of the Legend Championship against Great Tiger.
[4/17] WRESTLE-1 – Seiya Sanada defended the TNA X-Division belt against Christopher Daniels at the Korakuen Hall. Battle lines were drawn between KAI and Manabu Soya.
[4/19] NOAH – The GTL 2014 continued and Daisuke Harada defended the GHC Jr. belt against Atsushi Kotoge at the BODYMAKER COLOSSEUM, 2nd Stadium in Osaka.
[4/20] NOAH – The GTL 2014 continued and Yuji Nagata made his 3rd successful defense of the GHC Heavyweight against Maybach Taniguchi.
[4/20] BJW – Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto made thier 17th defense of the BJW Tag belts as they defeated Kankuro Hoshino & Masato Inaba at the Sapporo Teisen Hall.
[4/22] AJPW – Akebono was forced to missed the on-going Champion Carnival due to illness.
[4/23] AJPW – Kazuyuki Fujita appeared as a second of Kendo Kashin, appeared poised to make a statement in All Japan (though that was the last he was seen.). Suwama would get the win over Kashin, Shiozaki over Zeus in the main event, and KENSO with the win over Yutaka Yoshie. Masanobu Fuchi made his return following his eye surgery to team with Jun Akiyama & Yoshinobu Kanemaru to take on Ultimo Dragon , Osamu Nishimura & Masao Inoue for his 40th anniversary match.
[4/24] BJW – BJW-ZET was held at the Shinjuku FACE with the main event seeing Manabu Soya against Ryuichi Kawakami. The two then announced their aspirations to form a tag team.
[4/25] AJPW – Shiozaki suffered a right thumb fracture and was forced to miss the remaining Champion Carnival tour.
[4/25] WNC – Bernard Van Dam defeated TAJIRI to retain the WNC Championship. AKIRA and Masakatsu Funaki would also face off in singles competition for the first time in their careers. Funaki would be the victor.
[4/27] AJPW – The finals of the “2014 Champion Carnival” were held at the BODYMAKER COLOSSEUM in Osaka. The final would see Takao Omori defeating Jun Akiyama to win the Carnival for the first time in his career. To win the Carnival has been Omori’s long-saught after desire.
[4/27] NOAH – The finals of the “Global Tag League 2914” were held at the Sapporo Teisen Hall. Takashi Sugiura & Masato Tanaka would win the League after a nearly 20 minute match against Naomichi Marufuji & Katsuhiko Nakajima.
[4/29] DDT – Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie would become the 94th Asia Tag Champions after defeating Jun Akiyama & Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Akiyama would though go on to inadvertently win the 1,001th Iron Man Heavy Metal belt later in the show. KUDO would make 2 defenses of the KO-D Openweight belt as he defeated Akito and then Yasu Urano. Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega & Daisuke Sasaki defended the KO-D 6 Person belts against Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Yoshihiko.
[4/29] K-DOJO – Fast up-and-comer Tank Nagai would earn his first ever singles oppurtunity after beating Hiro Tonai in a 1DAY tournament. Kotaro Yoshino also made pro-wrestling his debut on this show.
[4/30] NOAH – KENTA officially announced that he would leaving Pro Wrestling NOAH the following month as he aims to take a major step in his professional wrestling career. His last match in NOAH would be on May 17th at the Korakuen Hall.
