[News] Indy wrestlers Naoshi Sano is making press in Japan as he officially announced that his promotion “Pro-Wrestling Sano-Damashii” will be holding a show at the Ryogoku Kokugikan on July 17, 2015.
Sano stated that the shows card and who will be competing is currently undecided at this time but everything is currently in the works. Sano stated that he knows the current situation and the struggles that many promotions in Japan are facing, but he has been working to build towards this moment for the last several years. Sano stated that he has found success in running his own shows in the last year and a half that he has been running them. It is a big gamble for his promotion to take such a leap as many other more notably DDT Pro-Wrestling took over 10 years to make it to the Hall. This is something that he feels that he needs to do as dream for himself.
This announcement leaves Sano with only 8 months to build all the buzz and publicity that he can as he aims to make a statement for the business as a whole. He knows that this will open the doors for criticism but that it will also be opening the doors for awareness. Much is riding on this to be successful and he will do his best to not let this become a great burden. He understands the status quo that looms over many of the independent promotions in Japan, but this is the chance to show that anything is possible.
Sano-Damashii’s next show is scheduled for New Year’s Eve, 12/31, at the Shinkiba 1stRING in Tokyo as he will be competing against All Japan’s KENSO in a inter-promotional match.
