[3/1] BJW held a show at the Korakuen Hall. The main event saw deathmatch showdown between Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa. Kasai would win the match, but afterwards they announced that they would be reviving their tag team of the past. Daisuke Sekimoto would also defeat Shuji Kondo to be crowned the third generation BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion.
[3/2] DRAGON GATE held a show at the Osaka BODYMAKER COLOSSEUM. BxB Hulk & Uhaa Nation would defeat Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii to be crowned the 24th generation Open the Twin Gate Champions. Dragon Kid would also defeat HUB to retain the Open The Brave Gate Championship, for his 8th defense of the belt.
[3/3] NJPW held their “anniversary show” at the Korakuen Hall. Shinsuke Nakamura defended the IWGP IC belt against Lance Archer, 6th defense. The IWGP Heavyweight champion Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Prince Devitt in a champion vs. champion showdown. KUSHIDA & Alex Shelley also defended the IWGP Jr. Tag belts against Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV, 2nd defense.
[3/6] ZERO1 held their 12th anniversary show at the Korakuen Hall. The main event of the show saw Shinjiro Otani, Masato Tanaka & Atsushi Onita taking on Akebono, Daisuke Sekimoto & Takao Omori. Akebono would get the win after he pinned Otani. NOAH’s Naomichi Marufuji teamed with Ikuto Hidaka and the duo claimed the win over Fujita “Jr” Hayato & Tatsuhito Takaiwa.
[3/7] Pro Wrestling NOAH announced that El Nieto del Santo, grandson of El Santo, would be coming in to train in the NOAH Dojo.
[3/9] “U-SPIRITS again” was held at the Korakuen Hall. Hiromitsu Kanehara would hold a match against Yuki Kondo, in which Kondo would win by decision. Minoru Suzuki would also get the win over Hanse Nijman with an Achilles hold.
[3/10] AJPW would hold a show at the Korakuen Hall in which the main event would see Seiya Sanada defend the GAORA TV belt against Masayuki Kono, 4th defense.
[3/10] NOAH held a show at the Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium. The main event would see KENTA defend the GHC Heavyweight belt against Maybach Taniguchi for his first defense. Naomichi Marufuji & Takashi Sugiura lost the GHC Tag belts to NJPW’s Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka. Yano & Iizuka would be crowned the 28th generation champions. Taiji Ishimori would successfully defend the GHC Junior Heavyweight belt against Atsushi Kotoge, first defense. Genba Hirayanagi & Maybach Taniguchi Jr. defeated Super Crazy & Ricky Marvin to be crowned the 17th GHC Jr. Tag Champions.
[3/11] NJPW held the opening of the “NEW JAPAN CUP 2013” at the Korakuen Hall. Davey Boy Smith Jr., Okada, Suzuki, Yujiro, Anderson, Yano, Goto, and Ishii won their first round matches.
[3/17] The second round of the NEW JAPAN CUP 2013 was held at the Amagasaki Memorial Park Gymnasium). Okada, Yano, Goto, Davey boy Smith Jr. would move on to the semi-finals.
[3/17] AJPW held a show at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. The main event saw Masakatsu Funaki defend the Triple Crown Heavyweight belt against Suwama. Suwmaa would win the match and be crowned the 46th generation champion. Jun Akiyama & Go Shiozaki defeated “GET WILD” Takao Omori & Manabu Soya to be crowned the 65th World Tag Champions. KAI made his return, from an excursion to Europe, as a heavyweight class wrestler and he would get the win over Seiya Sanada. Don Frye came to Japan and teamed with Keiji Mutoh. Masayuki Kono and Yoshihiro Takayama had a reunion as a tag team for the first times in 11 years. Yoshinobu Kanemaru defeated Kaz Hayashi to successfully defend his World Junior Heavyweight belt for his first defense. Minoru Tanaka & Koji Kanemoto defeated Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Aoki for their first successful defense of the belts.
[3/17] BJW held a show at the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Hall. The main event saw Shuji Ishikawa defend the BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight belt over Yuko Miyamoto. Kazuki Hashimoto also lost to Shinjiro Otani in their first ever singles match.
[3/18] AJPW’s Manabu Soya announced that he will have undergo surgery for a cervical hernia as well as suffering the effects of oculomotor nerve palsy. No return date was made.
[3/20] AJPW held a show at the Okinawa Prefectural Sports Park Gymnasium. The main saw Jun Akiyama, Go Shiozaki & Atsushi Aoki take on Keiji Mutoh, Takao Omori & Hiroshi Yamato. Mutoh would get the win over Aoki following the Shining Wizard.
[3/20] IGF held a show at the Fukuoka International Center. The main saw Kazuyuki Fujita defended the IGF Championship, 2nd defense, against Eric Hammer. Naoya Ogawa defeated Hideki Suzuki.
[3/20] DDT held a show at the Korakuen Hall. The main event would see Shigehiro Irie defeat Kenny Omega to be crowned the 45th generation champion. Yukio Sakaguchi challenged Irie after the match.
[3/22] NOAH’s Takeshi Morishima held his 15th Anniversary in Edogawam, Japan. Morishima faced Hitoshi Kumano in the opening match wearing a red attire similar to which he debuted in back in 1998. Morishima would team with Naomichi Marufuji in the main and they would get the win over Kensuke Sasaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima.
[3/22] RJPW held a show at the Korakuen Hall. The main event saw The First Tiger Mask take on Yoshihiro Takayama in which Tiger picked up the win.
[3/23] NJPW held the finals of the “NEW JAPAN CUP 2013”. Kazuchika Okada won the tournament after defeating Hirooki Goto. Okada won the tournament in his very first appearance in it.
[3/28] Ayumi Kurihara officially announced that she will retire later this year. The show was announced to take place on August 4 at the Korakuen Hall.
[3/29] Reid Flair passed away in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. This followed his tour of All Japan Pro-Wrestling.
[3/30] AJPW held the opening of the “2013 JUNIOR HYPER TAG LEAGUE”. Yamato & Sato picked up the win over Kotaro & Aoki, Minoru & Kanemoto defeated SUSHI & Andy Wu, and Kanemaru & Fuchi picked up the win over the previous years champions in Hayashi & Kondo.
[3/31] NOAH held a show at the Korakuen Hall. Taiji Ishimori defended the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship, 2nd defense, against Ricky Marvin. Maybach Taniguchi and Maybach Taniguchi Jr. finally faced off in singles action. Maybach Jr. lost the match and was revealed to be SUWA. Kenta Kobashi announced his retirement match for May 11 at the Nippon Budokan. He would team with Keiji Mutoh, Jun Akiyama, and Kensuke Sasaki to take on the team of KENTA, Go Shiozaki, Maybach Taniguchi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
[3/31] ZERO1 held their annual show at the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo. Riki Choshu would team with Shinjiro Otani & Masato Tanaka as they got win over Akebono, Zeus & James Raideen. Takuya Sugawara also successfully defended the International & NWA World Junior Championship belts against Jack Anthony, 2nd defense.
[3/31] BJW held a show at the Nagoya Club Diamond Hall. The main event would see Yuko Miyamoto & Isami Kodaka successfully defend the BJW Tag Belts, 3rd defense, over Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa after a 30 minute time limit draw. Daisuke Sekimoto also successfully defended the BJW World Strong Heavyweight belt against Yuji Okabayashi, first defense.
[3/31] DDT held a show at the Yodogawa Kumin Center. The scheduled main event saw HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano defend the KO-D Tag belts against Shigehiro Irie and Keisuke Ishii. Makoto Oishi would then cash-in on his “right to challenge, anytime, anywhere” against the new KO-D Open-weight Champion Shigehiro Irie following the tag match. Irie would successful defend the belt. Also with his win in the tag match, Yasu Urano also earned the “”right to challenge, anytime, anywhere” from Ishii. Kenny Omega also defended the DDT EXTREME belt, for his 2nd defense, against A・YAZAWA.
[3/31] WNC held a show at the Shinjuku FACE. AKIRA defended the WNC Championship against Emil Sitoci. Makoto beat Shuri to become the 2nd generation WNC Women’s Champion. Osamu Nishimura won a WNC contendership match against Zeus and his title opportunity would be set for the April 25 show at the Korakuen Hall.
