[WNC News] Wrestling New Classic announced that both WNC belts will be defended at the end of this month, as well as the Dave Finlay Cup will be held again this year.
First it was announced that both title belts will be defended on November 29 at the Shinjuku FACE. Lin Byron will be getting an opportunity to recapture the “WNC Woman’s Championship” against Shuri. Byron held the belt earlier this year, but due to suffering a fracture to her foot she was unable to give her all as champion and had to relinquish her reign as champion. After spending the last 3 months on the sideline she has stated that she is ready to reclaim the belt.
The main event for the 29th show will see TAJIRI defending the WNC Championship against El Hijo del Pantera. Pantera has been training in WNC as an international student since February of this year and this will be his final send off match before he is to return back home to Mexico in December. Pantera has grown immensely during his time in the Japan and TAJIRI believes that Pantera has earned the chance to show himself. Pantera himself noted that this is a great honor for him to challenge for the belt as well as against his teacher while he has been in Japan. This is something that, no matter the outcome, he will carry with him back to Mexico.
Pantera will be the first person from Mexico to compete for the WNC belt.

Koji Doi and, last years winner, Shinose Mitoshichi appeared to announce this years tournament. The first round of the tournament will be taking place on November 21 at the Shinkiba 1stRING in Tokyo.
The tournament will see 6 WNC wrestlers taking on 6 other wrestlers from K-DOJO. The tournament is primarily setup for the up and comers to have something more to strive to achieve.
After Doi and Mitoshichi announced the tournament ZERO1’s Yoshikazu Yokoyama barged into the press conference and had his eye set on Koji Doi. Yokoyama has been looking for revenge over Doi since a previous match during a ZERO1 show in which he lost. A volatile situation erupted and Mitoshichi tried to separate the two.
TAJIRI came out and stated that there is actually 1 spot open in the tournament due to K-DOJO’s Marines Mask suffering a shoulder injury last week. TAJIRI then gave the spot, as well as the opportunity, to Yokoyama.
