Following the big “THE NEW BEGINNING” event. Things are shifting towards the big 40th Anniversary show that is coming up on March 4th.
So let’s jump into the small news and then the bigger happenings.
First up Captain New Japan will be heading to KAIENTAI DOJO on February 26.

As for wrestlers who are working in other promotions, Yuji Nagata will be having a rematch against Masayuki Kono on March 4. With their last match on Feb. 11 ending on a no contest, it would be only a matter of time before they would have to go up against each other again.
AJP “HOLD OUT TOUR 2012”, 3/4/2012 [Sun] 12:00 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo
(-) Yuji Nagata vs. Masayuki Kono
The New IWGP Heavyweight Champion speaks.
Here’s a rough translation:
Credit goes to Philip Overby and Kumi Overby for the spot transaltion.
Gedo: There’s no need to talk about this because it’s not a surprise. It was meant to happen this way. It’s natural.
Reporter: How do you feel after winning the championship?
Okada: I feel like every match is the same. I don’t feel satisfied afterwards. It’s not enough.
Reporter: How was the match yesterday?
Gedo: People told me before that Okada is ten times better than Tanahasi, and now I know for sure.
Reporter: What do you think about people booing Okada at Tokyo Dome?
Gedo: They don’t know anything about him. The people are so stupid. They don’t know anything. I know him better than them. They are stupid.
Reporter: Your next challenger is Naito. Many people think he will be champion soon. What do you think about him?
Okada: Naito challenged Tanahashi before and couldn’t beat himi. Naito said he wanted to beat Tanahashi, but I beat Tanahashi easily. So I think I’m on a higher level than him. There is no chance for Naito to beat me.
Gedo: Naito was talking a lot of crap when he challenged Okada. But he should just shut up. He’s not strong enough to beat Okada.
Reporter: Naito will be 29 soon, so his hope is to have the championship before he turns 29.
Okada: It’s not going to happen.
Gedo: I don’t want to hear Naito say this kind of crap. It’s going to make me cry (sarcasm).
Reporter: This match will be on the 40th Anniversary of New Japan Pro Wrestling. How do you feel about being in the main event of this show?
Okada: It’s not a big deal. I’ll still be champion at the 50th and the 60th Anniversary.
Reporter: Do you feel motivated to fight Naito?
Okada: My motivation is pretty low. It’s not going to go up. I’m already at the highest level, it’s not going to be hard to beat Naito at all.
Gedo: Are you listening what we said? Write it down! (asks reporters) Okada’s at the highest level. Don’t you think so?
Reporter: Is there anyone you want to defend your championship against?
Gedo: Are you not listening? There’s no one who can beat him. No one is on Okada’s level. It’s hard to find anyone who’s on the same level as him.
Of course this leads us into the upcoming shows in month of March.
