Some very interesting news was released today as they will be undergoing a name change as a “professional wrestling organization” following their hometown match on January 14 at the Kensuke Office Dojo. (As before they have mainly been a Dojo holding shows.) The next time they hold a show it will be under the name of DIAMOND RING. This will be the official name of the professional wrestling organization going forth. It seems the name will be in effect for their first big shows of the year on January 21 and 22, but Kensuke Office has not officially changed the details as of yet.
This honestly makes a lot of sense for Sasaki and company to change the name as they have honestly grown to a lot more than Sasaki’s personal trained students in recent years. With names like Kazunari Murakami, Yutaka Yoshie, Kikutaro, not to mention other promotions sending wrestlers over, Kensuke Office has grown quite a lot for their own personally named shows. I do not believe the Kensuke Office name is going away completely, as that is Sasaki’s personal training school name, but for the actual wrestling shows they hold a new name is fitting.

As an update to what I announced earlier it seems the name originates from the diamond ring solar eclipse which was seen last year. This also leads to announcement of the promotion to aid in the possibilities for more growth of Sasaki’s students and talent that have worked regularly for Kensuke Office.
Coming up on 2.11 (February 11th) at the Korakuen Hall, we will see the 5th year anniversary for Kensuke Office and this is when the name officially will be used from hence forth. Some matches being touted for the event will be Katsuhiko Nakajima vs. Shingo Takagi [DRAGON GATE] and Kensuke Sasaki & Mitsuhiro Kitamiya vs. Kenta Kobashi & Jun Akiyama from NOAH.

The full event card for the debut show of DIAMOND RING has been announced.
As mentioned on the previous post about the announcement of the show. The two main even matches had been announced with Sasaki teaming with is latest trainee Kitamiya to take on Kobashi & Akiyama. Then the main event will see Nakajima taking on Shingo in match that is being billed as a rematch from their singles bout in 2005.
The the other match that is sure to be something of interest see Sasaki’s up and coming ace Kento Miyahara taking on the ace of Michinoku Pro Fujita Jr. Hayato.
This is sure to be make for a solid debut show and this is only a small taste of what we may possibly see in the future for DIAMOND RING.
