The last 2011 PPV Event for NJPW will be happening on Dec. 4th and following the outcome of POWER STRUGGLE the full card for the next PPV was announced today.
The list of events that NJPW will be holding for the remainder of the year:
Practically everything that came following the event has been thrown into the next big event. The headlining match will see Tanahashi defending the IWGP against Nagata for the record setting 10th defense. If Tanahashi can pick up the win he will go in the record books as the top defense holder for the belt (given he beat Nagata who holds the record at 10). This match will also be one to keep an eye on as whoever wins will be set to main event WRESTLE KINGDOM VI on 1/4/2012.
Two special singles matches are going to be happening as well as Shinsuke Nakamura will be facing off against Tetsuya Naito. These two have had a back forth year, but following the POWER STRUGGLE event the heat between the two seemed to be at an all new high. These two will face off on 12/4 and who knows but you have to think that the winner could indeed be set up to challenge (or in this case challenge again) the IWGP Heavyweight Champion at WK VI (Who knows what NJ really has planned for the event).
Giant Bernard & Minoru Suzuki will also be facing off one on one at the big event and these two definitely seem as the odd pairing, but there is not anyone that Suzuki will not face in the ring. Suzuki definitely gives up size and height, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot to Suzuki because he even managed to Piledrive big Ryota Hama back in AJP. Bernard though has earned the title as the the top gaijin in Japan and this match should be very interesting a we all know Suzuki will take every bit of punishment and fire right back.
The IWGP Junior Heavyweight and the IWGP Intercontinental belts will be on the line in the event as well. As the current Jr. Heavy Champ Prince Devitt will be defending against Davey Richards. Devitt & Richards have already faced off earlier this year in Devitt’s last title reign, but since then Richards has gone on to take the IWGP Jr. Tag belts from Devitt & Taguchi. So does Richards have the momentum on his side to take Devitt’s Jr. belt as well? Or will Devitt prevail and move on to WK VI?
Masato Tanaka will be defending the IWGP IC belt against the first ever IC Champion MVP as well. MVP thinks he is ready for his rematch and now has the shot to win the belt back. With WK VI right around the corner you have to think that MVP wants to come into the event with a belt around his waist. The first time the faced at DESTRUCTION ’11 Tanaka left with the belt around his waist, so it will come up to whatever MVP has learned from that match, if he can indeed shift the favor to his own.
Lastly there will be a NJPW vs. NOAH match happening as well on the event as Hirooki Goto will be teaming with the “Supernova” KUSHIDA to take on Takashi Sugiura & Atsushi Aoki from NOAH. Goto and Sugiura are far from strangers in the ring, but the interesting aspect of KUSHIDA an Aoki facing off could offer a different feel to the match all around.

Two matches have been announced, including the main event, for Satoshi Kojima’s 20th Anniversary show on Dec. 14th.
In the main event we will be seeing Satoshi Kojima teaming with friend and former tag partner in All Japan Kaz Hayashi or as they were known as a team “KazuKoji”. They will be coming together to take on the team of FUNAKI & Tetsuya Naito, who are being billed as the old and new trainees of Animal Hamaguchi. (Shinkyu Hamaguchi Gym Combi). Kojima and Kaz held the World Tag Belts in 2004 as well as winning the World’s Strongest Tag Team League in 2003. This should make for quite a match up.
The second match announced comes with the appearance of the The Great Kosuke, an alter character of Kojima resembling The Great Sasuke, and he will nonetheless be teaming with The Great Sasuke as they take on Jado & Gedo.
Also as mentioned a while back is that Stan Hansen will make a special guest appearance for the event.
