Crown Gate 2011
11/3/11 Kyoto, KBS Hall
0) Kotoka Vs Yosuke Watanabe
WINNER: Kotoka via Camel Clutch at 5:50
Before the show officially started, Saito Ryo’s big surprise was that he will NOT be in the main event against Open the Dream Gate Champion Masaaki Mochizuki. Saito claimed there was no reason to waste his time because the Dream Gate title WASNT on the line. After Mochizuki agreed to it, President Yagi decided to make the main event an Official Open the Dream Gate title match.
2) Cyber Kong Vs Eita Kobayashi
WINNER: Kong via Pineapple Bomber at 4:12
4) Susumu Yokosuka, KAGETORA Vs Akira Tozawa, Genki Horiguchi
WINNER: KAGETORA over Tozawa via Kagenui at 12:55
Big win for KAGETORA who has been seeing a push lately and got the pin over the still somewhat hot Tozawa. After this win, Susumu and KAGETORA made a challenge to CIMA and Ricochet for the Twin Gate titles. No word yet if it has been accepted.
6) Open the Dream Gate Championship Match: Masaaki Mochizuki (C) VS Ryo Saito
WINNER: Mochizuki via Sankakugeri to the Face at 27:26 to defend the Open the Dream Gate title
That was defense nuimber 6 for Mochizuki who has broken his previous defense record almost 7 years ago when he first had the Dream Gate title and is now tied with CIMA who has six defenses AND has held the Dream Gate title twice. Will Mochi be able to break Naruki Doi’s 8 defense record?
After the main event, Doi came out and unveiled the NEW Doi’s Darts which included the rookies and “comedy” wrestlers. Doi stated that this will determine the next challengers to Blood Warrior’s Open the Triangle Gate titles. Doi also stated that being such a “nice guy” he will give Gamma a automatic slot on the challenging team BUT then he will also have to fight in the opening match of that night…just to be fair. Doi then threw the Doi Darts and decided Gamma’s teammates will be…Shachihoko Machine AND…rookie Chihiro Tominaga who hasnt even debuted yet but will debut on 11/11 at the next Byuden Show! Gamma was upset by this team and asked if he could NOT be in the opening match as well as the title match. Doi said no BUT said he will take away the Blood Warrior’s “two count” rule for pinfalls. Doi said he may regret that considering this challenging team will be the strongest Blood Warriors have ever faced. This match will be in Osaka on 11/19/11.
