Masayuki Kono will be returning to the ring come Oct. 10th. Kono has been out of action for months following the dissolution of the Voodoo Murders and him then opting take time out of the ring to have surgery performed on his right elbow.
It has been almost 4 months since Kono has been on the sideline, but he has mentioned that he has a desire to go either back for the World Tag Team belts or even a possibility of going after Suwama and the Triple Crown.
He will be teaming with his former parnter Joe Doering (whom he held the World Tag Belts with before the scandal in late May) and the returning Big Daddy (Viscera/Big Daddy V ~ WWE) as they face against Masakatsu Funaki, Akebono & Ryota Hama.
In Championship match news, AJP has made it official that KAI will be defending his World Junior Heavyweight Championship against DDT’s Kenny Omega at “Pro Wrestling LOVE in Ryogoku Vol.13” on 10/23.
KAI suffered a lose to Kenny Omega on the opening day of the Junior Heavyweight League. Since KAI moved on to win the tournament with only that loss behind him (a draw to Minoru as well) of course that would mean that Omega would get a match for the belt, and KAI a rematch.
